Welcome

As principal of 21st Street School, I stand behind our school mission and make it my personal goal to ensure that all students and staff needs are addressed and met. Our mission is to build a strong academic foundation, encourage an eagerness to learn, affirm personal strengths, enhance positive social skills and nurture community involvement for all of our children. These goals are accomplished by providing a challenging, meaningful and interactive education in a safe and caring learning environment.

By living out our mission every day, students receive the attention they need in order to become successful learners. The 21st Street School staff makes every child feel comfortable with his or her individual talents and fosters creativity in order for our students to become well-rounded learners. By rising up to the academic image of kids forming number 21challenges presented by our staff, students are prepared for middle school and realize that they possess the potential to succeed inside and outside the classroom. Our staff provides the necessary skills for students to become thoughtful, productive and responsible citizens. Twenty-First Street School teachers serve as ambassadors for education, embodying professionalism and a commitment to excellence in education for all students.

The Twenty-First Street School community is inclusive and welcoming. Students from different cultural, ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds and with different learning styles form solid, healthy friendships with each other and with staff members. By working in harmony and treating each other with mutual respect, students are able to develop their individual talents and attitudes while accepting those of their peers.

Our families serve as catalysts to unite the school and greater community in support of reaching our goal of providing all students with the best education possible. By building a strong collaboration between parents, staff, students and the surrounding community, our children are equipped with the support system needed to reach their full potential.
