Ninety-Fifth Street School is nestled within
a beautiful residential area on the City of
Milwaukee's West Side, just minutes away from
Mayfair Mall. A caring, nurturing staff is eager to
welcome all parents, students, and visitors. With an
increasing enrollment each year, the staff
currently educates 370 students in a traditional school
setting with a focus on student
achievement and positive social awareness.
High expectations are maintained in
all academic areas as shown by our yearly school
assessment scores. In the 2007-08 school year,
our school earned the "Mosaic School" designation by
the Milwaukee Public School District. This
recognition is earned for
continued improvement in the areas of academics,
fiscal responsibility, and providing special
education services. We have currently met those same
requirements for the 2008-09 school year.
On the 2008-09 WKCE-CRT
assessments, our 3rd-5th grade students continued to
show positive academic gains and outperformed
the M.P.S. district-wide assessment scores in all
academic areas. We continue to strive towards
meeting and exceeding the Wisconsin state-wide
scores.
The
study
of the Arts is strongly encouraged
with music instruction offered at all grade levels.
Music lessons are offered weekly for students
interested in string, piano and/or voice
lessons. For the upcoming school year, we have a
partnership with Arts@Large,
Inc. and the Arts in Community Education
Program (ACE). We will continue planning and
implementing the theme entitled, "Diving Into
Diversity"..."A Trip Around The World."
A diverse student population,
an excellent, dedicated teaching staff, and family-oriented
environment awaits you at
