Dear students and families,

As principal of Allen-Field School, I want to welcome you to our learning community. We are located on the near south side of Milwaukee, serving students in K5-Grade 5. At our school, we strive to achieve the same mission and share common values. Students are recognized as individuals at Allen-Field and we welcome their diverse learning styles. By viewing learning styles as strengths and utilizing a variety of strategies, materials and educational techniques, the Allen-Field staff maximizes the learning potential of our students.

At our school, we realize the importance of building relationships among students, staff, families and community members. With these groups working together, students can rely on a strong support network and eventually become responsible, productive citizens that give back to their community.

Multicultural diversity is highly valued at Allen-Field. We build on the cultural and linguistic diversity that our families and staff members bring to us while incorporating these unique ethnic backgrounds into new learning experiences. Students respect one another and learn from the individual perspectives of their peers. We have a number of Spanish-speaking staff members on our staff to help accommodate our Spanish-speaking families.

Allen-Field students are provided with extensive opportunities to increase their extracurricular and Fine Arts skills. With Art, Music, Physical Education and Technology lessons provided by specialists, students can both build on the core academic curriculum and stretch their creativity to the maximum by expressing themselves through a variety of mediums.
