The Early Days

We started in 2005 with only a K5-6th grade. Each year our upper class moved into the next grade, until 2007 when we graduated our first 8th grade group into high school.

MMBA started the 2005 year with 290 students, but now has over 490 students.

A key contributor to the success of MMBA in it's first years has a lot to do with the consistent and dedicated staff of MMBA. Of the initial teachers that transitioned from 37th Street School only a few have left, and of those who left most were due to promotions into higher positions in Milwaukee Public Schools.

In-house Boys and Girls Club with over 100 students attending on a daily basis.

Sports teams for boys and girls in Fall, Winter, and Spring.

A computer lab of 35 of computers, 6 computers in every classroom, and two laptop carts.
