Parent Involvement

The Brown Street community believes in the importance of parental involvement in each child’s education. In order for a child to achieve at their highest potential, a strong support network must exist. When home and school join together, a child receives constant encouragement and motivation to work his or her hardest on a daily basis.

Families are encouraged to take part in decision-making at Brown Street Academy by joining the School Governance Council and participating in surveys. A Family Center is available to welcome and support parental involvement. By volunteering in classrooms or chaperoning field trips, parents can take an active role in educating students at Brown Street.
