| “My first year at Carver was in 2005. My favorite part of teaching is getting to know my students and their families. I love teaching students how to read and watching them grow and develop strong social and academic skills. Students enjoy my classroom because we do many hands-on activities during lessons and at classroom centers. Monthly field trip experiences follow up learning activities. My students should know that I care about all of them and that I think every first grader is very smart. The teachers, administrators and support staff at our school work together to build a strong learning environment. Carver is a great place because the specials provided for students include Math Lab, Science Lab, Art, African Dance, Physical Education and Technology Lab. We also have a Black History Program, End of the Year Carnival and Quarterly Merit Parties that reward students for great behavior.” |
