Parent Involvement

pic of student getting involved in learningBy keeping the lines of communication open between Cooper families and staff members, students are able to rely on a strong support network. Parents are encouraged to visit their child’s classroom and volunteer to assist teachers with school activities. By attending events at Cooper, parents take an active role in their child’s education and show their support in helping their child achieve academically, socially and emotionally.

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

The Cooper PTO brings together parents, staff and community members to support learning and high achievement for all Cooper students. The PTO organizes social and learning activities for students and families and coordinates fundraising projects to support classroom and school activities. All parents are invited to join the PTO and take part in making decisions regarding their child’s education at Cooper. By planning special events and projects, the PTO plays a strong role in building a strong sense of community within Cooper.
