| Grade 6
Ms. Bigalk began teaching at Cooper in 2004. Prior to coming to Cooper, she taught for 9 years in MPS. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (Grades 1-8) from UW-LaCrosse in 1991, bilingual certification from UW-Milwaukee in 1997 and her master’s degree in English as a Second Language (ESL) from Cardinal Stritch in 1999. Her favorite aspect about being a teacher is passing on her own love of learning to her students. She knows she can make a positive impact on the students she teaches. Cooper students enjoy Ms. Bigalk’s exciting classroom because she promotes hands-on projects with active teaching and learning to reinforce her lessons. Students move, interact and communicate in her classroom. She likes Cooper School because of the unbelievable amount of parent support and the pride students take in their achievements. |
