Ms. Brzenk-Nelson has been teaching since 1992, and has been teaching at Cooper School since 2004. She earned her associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) in 1986. She went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood from Alverno in 1992. In 1999, she completed her master’s degree in Curriculum Instruction with an emphasis in Library Science from UW-Whitewater.
Every day brings both exciting rewards and different challenges from her students. She works closely with families who love their children and who work diligently to see them learn and grow. Ms. Brzenk-Nelson enjoys co-teaching with Ms. Haas, an amazing teacher with the same enthusiasm and ideals. Students like her classroom because it is fun and challenging with positive support so children can take risks and make mistakes without fear of failure. The forward-focused energy of Cooper School inspires Ms. Brzenk-Nelson. She feels blessed to be a teacher at this school because of her dedication and determination to deliver an outstanding education.
Ms. Brzenk-Nelson is married with two children, Grace and Owen, who also attend MPS schools. She loves to laugh and read. |
