Welcome

“The mission of Custer High School is to provide students with an intellectually challenging, emotionally supportive and personally secure high school setting.”

As Principal of Custer High School, I am proud of our school community, which provides students with the opportunity to focus on their skills and prepare for successful futures. The Custer staff works hard to reach all students and to design a curriculum that addresses unique student needs and learning styles. Through improved teaching and learning that employs rigorous standards-based instruction, Custer students are actively engaged in learning.

Students enrolled at Custer are able to join one of three small learning communities, each focused on a different set of skills. With classes on every topic from Graphic Arts to Politics, students are equipped with resources that will help them succeed in college and beyond. By giving students both core academic instruction and a curriculum centered on their specific interests and talents, they gain the experience needed to pursue and achieve future goals. Students and teachers stay together for all four years of high school and form supportive bonds that enable students to receive the positive feedback, coaching and guidance to perform well, grow in knowledge and graduate.

With a strong Family Advocate System designed to help students, parents and families develop a communication link with Custer, students are able to rely on a strong support network. This creates a positive high school experience and gives students the guidance needed to grow into young adults equipped with a solid education and marketable skills.

At Custer, students also have the opportunity to expand their education and experience by participating in both academic and athletic extracurricular activities. These activities help students transform into well-rounded adults capable of collaborating with their peers to achieve common goals.

To schedule a tour of Custer and its small learning communities, please call the office at (414) 393-4900. I look forward to meeting you and showing you all that Custer has to offer!

Sincerely,

Kathy Bonds, Principal
