Staff

The qualified, assertive staff members at Custer High School deliver high quality instruction every day that encourages students to use their critical thinking skills to achieve in the classroom. By participating in professional development activities, such as a mentoring program for new teachers, workshops, climate-related learning, analysis, evaluation and Small Learning Community meetings, the Custer staff is constantly improving and learning new teaching strategies. At Custer, students receive meaningful homework assignments with real-world applications on a regular basis and assistance as needed. Accurate records are kept for grades, behavior and attendance, with regular progress reports sent to parents and families. The Custer staff believes in leading by example. By serving as positive role models to the students, the staff tries to reach each student on a personal level, helping them set and achieve goals, and mentoring them until graduation.

The Custer administration provides instructional leadership to the teaching staff and offers constructive feedback. By providing a safe learning environment, the administration helps build a sense of community within the Custer halls.
