Andrew S. Douglas Community Academy Library serves over 600 students, parents and faculty members. Our patrons include the Head Start Program, Enlightened Care, Rufus King Academy, Kuumba Academy, CATC - Day Treatment Program as well as the Adult Education Center.
The library has seventeen Macintosh computers and seven IBM computers. We have one computer with access to the internet, a scanner, video disk player, VCR, and cable TV. Besides using traditional library resources, such as books or books on tape, students go to the library to learn programs on CD-ROM as well as other multimedia programs.
The lbrary is used for exrracurricular activities, as well, such as Video Club, Student Council, Technology Club, Panther's Voice (school newspaper), science fair, story hours, and staff meetings
