Qualified, Quality Teachers and Staff

All of Engleburg’s teachers are licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. To maintain their licensing, teachers are required to advance their own learning by completing six college credits every five years. Our teachers are lifelong learners.

A team of specialists add their subject area expertise and also assist students with special needs. In addition to teaching staff, Engleburg has paraprofessionals and classroom assistants who are also trained and held to high standards of accountability. We welcome student teachers who are guided by experienced professionals as they complete licensing requirements.

Special Education Staff

A diagnostic teacher and school psychologist test children for learning disabilities and other problems that may interfere with their learning.

The social worker assists students who show signs of social, emotional, physical, or environmental difficulties that interfere with their academic success.

An occupational therapist, physical therapists, two speech pathologists, and special education teachers assist students with various disabilities.

A Professional Teaching Team

One way to improve achievement is to ensure consistency in teaching throughout the school and access to the latest research on teaching methods. The benefit of a large school system is that our state-certified teachers have numerous opportunities to develop their professional skills through courses offered by MPS.

 Team Teaching

Engleburg’s student to teacher ratio of 18 to one means that in some classrooms there may be two teachers with 30 students. The teachers then work out how they manage their classroom and learning activities.
