Dear families and students,
![]() Welcome to Hi-Mount Community School! Located in the Washington Heights neighborhood, our school provides high quality instruction for all students in K4 – grade 8. We offer extensive support and opportunities to our students that they may achieve at high levels and enter high school with a solid educational background. As a K4 – grade 8 school, Hi-Mount students experience educational continuity, receiving an education in the same building for 10 years. This continuity allows students and teachers to develop lasting relationships and Hi-Mount learners know that each year they will be held to similar expectations and expected to follow consistent rules.
Hi-Mount's certified classroom teachers and exemplary support staff create a comfortable, inspirational learning environment for students. In addition to the core academic subjects, Hi-Mount offers music lessons through partnerships with Divine Word Church and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. Art and physical education classes take place in our state-of-the-art gymnasium. Hi-Mount’s science lab and library media center enrich our curriculum by promoting hands-on technology skills.
While our academic program bolsters positive results, we also encourage students to take advantage of the many extracurricular opportunities offered at Hi-Mount. From Cheerleading to beginning guitar lessons, there is an activity for everyone. Extracurricular activities instill a sense of responsibility to a team or a group, building character and camaraderie among students. These programs also expand students’ minds and help them stay healthy.
At Hi-Mount, we regard families as an integral part of a child's education. Parent involvement and support is crucial to student success. For this reason, the Hi-Mount staff collaborates with parents to ensure that students' unique learning styles are recognized and met in the classroom and at home. We offer Family Literacy Nights as well, where families come to our school and engage in activities that extend learning.
For more information about Hi-Mount or to take a tour of our exemplary school, please call the school office at (414) 875-2700. I look forward to meeting you!
Sincerely,
