School Governance Council

The School Governance Council at Hopkins serves as an advisory committee. Community members, parents, teachers, staff and administration are invited to join the School Governance Council in order to provide unique perspectives and work together to achieve positive results. It is Hopkins’ hope that by collaborating, those who serve on the council will analyze and improve public school policies, curriculum, educational plan goals and the well-being of students.

The School Governance Council holds structured meetings while serving as a forum where school issues can be openly discussed. During meetings, the annual educational plan, student achievement data and school budget are continuously monitored. The School Governance Council also decides on a few goals each school year, addressed through projects and activities.

School Governance Council meetings are held once a month in the Parent Center. Please see the calendar for dates and times.
