Dear families and students,

As principal of Lincoln Center of the Arts (LCA), I want to personally welcome you to our unique school. Located at 820 East Knapp Street, we are the “Heart of the Arts” in downtown Milwaukee. At LCA, we stand by the belief that the Arts are not separate from a successful education, but rather an integral part of a successful education. With our arts-integrated curriculum, we provide sixth through eighth grade students with challenging academic instruction and with a full menu of drama, music (including band, choir and orchestra), visual arts and dance instruction from talented specialists. Our high-performing bilingual program accommodates our culturally diverse student population and gives our students an edge in today’s multilingual world. At LCA, we embrace differences and learn from one another. With our 92% attendance rate, LCA clearly has a positive impact on our students’ motivation.

LCA’s dedicated, professional staff, highly trained arts specialists and resident artists respect and recognize each student as an individual. We equip students with the skills and confidence needed to enhance their academic knowledge and develop their performance abilities. Throughout the year, our students showcase their skills in high-caliber seasonal productions. At LCA, we realize the importance of preparing students for success in a technology-rich world. Fortunately, our state-of-the-art building gives students the advanced education they need. With two computer labs, a graphics lab and a video technology lab, students have access to the latest technological resources and computer software. We are also proud of our full broadcast studio and multimedia set.
