Global Education

Global Education involves learning about those problems and issues that cut across national boundaries, and about the interconnectedness of systems

Global education involves perspective taking - seeing things through the eyes and minds of others - and it means the realization that while individuals and groups may view life differently, they also have common needs and values.

Global education raises the awareness for children that we all share the same planet, that there's more to the world than their neighborhood, and it helps dispel prejudices at a young age.

Throughout the year each classroom studies a particular country. They put together a presentation about what they have studied. Then at the end of the year, each class presents their final project to other classes. We call this culminating activity "Global Week" and celebrate with guests from countries studied, performing artists, and final projects.
