Our
Japanese Language Program
Since
our focus is global education, we offer a language - Japanese. All
our students, from four year old kindergarten to fifth grade, study
Japanese for about an hour a week.
Through
our language study, we want our students to further develop knowledge
and respect for those who have different customs. We also want our
students to develop a range of skills necessary for becoming
proficient in a foreign language.
Students
of foreign languages score statistically higher on standardized tests
conducted in English. They also score higher on verbal sections of
the SAT. These students have access to a greater number of career
possibilities, have a competitive advantage in the work force, and
develop a deeper understanding of their own and other cultures.
