Longfellow as an anchor in our neighborhood. At Longfellow, we adhere to the belief that the school and its surrounding community must work together to ensure that every child receives a meaningful and complete educational experience. Through our rigorous academics, extracurricular programs, professional dev elopment and community involvement, we are actively and collaboratively engaged in the activities that suppor t lifelong learning.

The Longfellow staff is committed to working with families to provide a school climate that, together with a broadened base of community support, achieves academic excellence. By striving to strengthen relationships with families and the community, the Longfellow family is constantly growing, providing a strong support network for students. Parents are encouraged to serve as role models for their children, by becoming a part of the Longfellow family and staying involved in their student’s education.

Through a variety of educational programs and school-wide initiatives, students receive the individualized instruction they need. SAGE classrooms provide our youngest learners with smaller class sizes, meaning they get a head start in their education. Bilingual classes and our strong ESL program allow English Language Learners to develop language skills that pave the way for successful future learning. Our outstanding CLC program allows students to use their time and energy to express themselves and discover their personal talents through extracurricular activities. New technology available at Longfellow provides students with online tools and instructional practice that gives them an advantage in the real world.
