Mandarin Chinese Language Program

According to the National K-12 Foreign Language Resource Center, children who are exposed to a second language at a very early age have the ability to master that second language as easily as their first language. The Milwaukee Academy of Chinese Language offers extensive lessons from qualified professionals on the Mandarin Chinese language and culture. Using instructional language labs, MACL provides Chinese language instruction in small group settings on a daily basis. Chinese language specialists from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee deliver instruction to all young learners. Students from all backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to be part of the exciting new language program offered at MACL!

With resources such as an onsite Chinese language teacher, the Chinese Embassy and the Wisconsin Association for Language Teachers, students’ exposure to the Chinese culture is enhanced and incorporated throughout the curriculum at MACL. The school administrator, Mr. James Sayavong, traveled to China this summer and has initiated a relationship with a sister school in China that students may gain new perspectives and connect with other students globally.
