| “My favorite part of teaching is watching students grow and learn. As a teacher, I am fulfilled when students experience that magical moment when everything they are being taught makes sense. When I see students take what they have learned and use it in the real world, I know that I’ve done my job. Students enjoy my classroom because the hands-on activities help them make sense of what they have learned. They are able to ask questions until they figure out the answer. Everyone has the opportunity to bring what they have learned into my classroom. The one thing students need to know about me is that I am very strict. I have several classroom rules that are very simple, including ‘Respect Others at All Times.’ I expect that students will follow my rules so we can make the most of our time together without interruption. I enjoy teaching at MACL because the staff is wonderful and each and every person works hard. The effort at our school is tremendous. MACL is warm and welcoming. All staff members care deeply about all the students. It’s a safe and educationally sound place to be.” |
