     I'm Ms. Walker, the principal of MEC Middle School at the  Andrew Douglas Campus.  I've been in the Milwaukee Public Schools for over 20 years.  I've been at MEC since it opened in 1992.  I began as a teacher at Bell Middle School, where I taught English and Social Studies, then in 1992 I became a Reading and English teacher at MEC. For the last several years I've been an administrator at MEC. 

     I believe that ALL CHILDREN CAN LEARN and TEACHERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I believe parents are an important part of their children's educational success and all parents are a welcome and essential part in their children's progress here at MEC.
