Interactive Video (ITV)
Interactive Video (ITV) enables teachers and students from two or more locations to take part in classes, conferences, or activities together via interactive video. Using Internet Protocol (IP) based broadband connections, students, teachers, or administrators in one location can see, hear, and interact with their peers at one or more sites at the same time. ITV technology has opened the doors for students to participate in "virtual field trips" throughout the world. It allows advanced students to participate in specialized courses offered at other schools or institutes of higher learning and encourages inter-school conferences and joint staff development projects. Over 50 sites within MPS currently have access to ITV -- talk with your principal today to find out how you can take advantage of this technology!
