OJT

Students at MSE that hold a job are given a full credit each semester. The students are released at 12:20 to go and work in the community. This not only teaches the students how to maintain a job, but also benefits the community. Students that hold a job now have a better chance of succeeding in a job later in life, with the skills learned while in high school. Teachers focus the curriculum on helping students becoming successful after their high school education is over.

A student's fifth hour teacher is their OJT counselor. They make sure that the students are happy with there jobs, and are in a good work environment. If the students are unhappy, the teacher will do everything to help the student be successful in their current job or help them find them a new job. Also, other students can bring information about job opportunities. OJT allows students to maintain a job, where they not only learn, but make money and make business connections for the future.
