Course Description: Physics is a third-year science course that investigates mathematical relationships in the physical world. Through coursework and in class projects, students will develop a rich understanding of force, mass and motion.
The course competencies are:
- Measure proficiently in both English and metric units
- Observe motion, measure it, and apply motion formulas to observed results
- Produce and interpret motion graphs
- Calculate acceleration, mass, and force using Newton's Law
- Determine resultant forces, accelerations, velocities and displacements using vector techniques
- Calculate forces and accelerations associated with curved motion
