November 17th PTSA Meeting Summary
Many issues were discussed at the most recent Parent Meeting. The most exciting item was brought up by Ms. Bloyer regarding the Team Up program from the Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation. This program will provide $12,000 to any current Bradley Tech freshman who graduates in 2015 with a cumulative 2.5 grade point average and at least a 90% attendance rate. The current freshman class is automatically eligible and should have their eyes on the prize! Items from the most recent Metro Region Parent meeting were discussed including PBIS and school climate. Some parents feel that Bradley Tech needs more code of conduct signs around the building in addition to the lessons that are taught in the classroom. President Bob Altman is working on creating a voter ID and parent assistant workshops; more information will be provided about these events as it becomes available. BUILD Nights have been great events for students who want to see a free movie in a welcoming environment and the next one will feature a Holiday Film Fest. Finally, Ms. Bloyer stated that we need more of our students in class to take the MAP test as this test helps determine what classes students will take in the future.Dates to know:
