Seniors in the Design Academy exhibited their art work at the recent parent-teacher's conferences in preparation for the upcoming Gallery Night show on April 16 and 17. Student projects will be displayed and some offered for sale.

Seniors Juan Robles-Estrada, Jeremy Nyklewicz and Crystal Rosado have helped with finishing touches on the Green Wall in the Multimedia lab. Now that the wall is a proper "chroma green" tone, the senior multimedia classes will be shooting various video projects with the wall being a key component. Using Final Cut Express, a widely used program in the film industry, the seniors will be able to remove the green background, and put themselves in digitally created environments. Construction Academy students recently finished making wall-mounted cabinets in their woodworking class. They learned proper face frame construction using style and rails, and carcass construction methods of the body. "Cabinets were well constructed and included mirrors, glass plywood panels for doors. Students experienced hands-on construction and developed a solid foundation in the making of wood cabinetry," said Mr. Harding, woodworking instructor.
