Pulaski History

Pulaski History In September 1933, Pulaski High School (originally to be called Southwest High) opened its doors to the children of the community and started with an enrollment of 457 students and 17 teachers. The following September (1934) the enrollment had increased to 801 students and 26 teachers. By 1936, there were 1,400 students and 50 teachers. The first graduating class of 1937 had 177 members, a little short of the original 200 students who came to the school four years before. After 1938, Pulaski became a four-year senior high school. In recent years, enrollment has been approximately 1,500 students.

Pulaski High School's educational program is designed to enable each student to develop to his or her maximum potential. The objective for the educational program includes helping each student to:
Pulaski High School’s mission centers on strengthening relationships among students, school staff and families and improving teaching and learning, so as to assist students in attaining world class academic and career proficiencies. At Pulaski, students are offered four career-path specialties. Each specialty emphasize preparation for post-secondary education. The four career paths at Pulaski are Health, Business, Art, and Automotive.
Enrollment Casimir Pulaski High School is a ninth through twelfth grade comprehensive high school which, as of October 2010, had an enrollment of 1515. Please visit the DPI website for more information.
