Fibers and Fabric Design

Course Description

This course is designed for students who wish to create with fibers, found objects and textural materials. Students will experience tie-dye, basic hand stitching, patchwork projects and textural surface design. A unit of fashion in design will be explored. Some light sketching will also be required each mark period. Students should have an interest in learning basic sewing machine techniques.
