Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts - Arts Page
As a school of the arts, Roosevelt is committed to providing a strong arts curriculum for students who have had no artistic training to those who have already received instruction in the arts.
Roosevelt has specialist in every art discipline and is fortunate to have several artists-in-residence who enhance the already abundant artistic offerings.
Visual Arts
Roosevelt’s Visual Arts Department provides all students with opportunities to learn about art and artists, as well as creating art of their own.(more)
Drama
Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts has very active Drama classes. In 6th and 7th grade,
Drama is a part of an arts rotation in which every 6th and 7th grade student will choose two of three of the following arts subjects: Visual Art, Theatre Art, Computer Art. If a student chooses drama, the student will spend one semester in this class. In these classes students will work on oral communication skills, which are essential in the work place
for all jobs.(more)
Music
The Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts Music Department has something to offer everyone!
Students may choose to play a Band or Orchestra instruments or sing in a Choir.

Dance
All students attending RMSA will experience a dance class. 6th grade students will spend one semester in dance and will learn dance basics including dance vocabulary and stage directions. (more)
