As a school of the arts, Roosevelt is committed to providing a strong arts curriculum for students who have had no artistic training to those who have already received instruction in the arts.
Roosevelt has specialist in every art discipline and is fortunate to have several artists-in-residence who enhance the already abundant artistic offerings.

Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts has very active Drama classes. In 6th and 7th grade,
Drama is a part of an arts rotation in which every 6th and 7th grade student will choose two of three of the following arts subjects: Visual Art, Theatre Art, Computer Art. If a student chooses drama, the student will spend one semester in this class. In these classes students will work on oral communication skills, which are essential in the work place

Students may choose to play a Band or Orchestra instruments or sing in a Choir.
