Schedule E is the name for after school activities at Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts. Activities are offered approximately two nights per week and run from 3:45 - 4:45 p.m. Buses are available for students who stay for Roosevelt's Schedule E activities. These buses will drop students off at the Milwaukee Public elementary school closest to their home. Some parents may wish to pick their child up. Students must be picked up by 5:00 p.m. since staff is unavailable to supervise them after this time.
Many teachers offer Schedule E activities. Each teacher sets a schedule for meeting nights. These are a few of the Schedule E activities:
Math Counts - competitive math competitions. The Roosevelt Math Counts team improves each year. Mr. Siekmann, adviser
Forensics - competitive speaking and acting. The Roosevelt Forensics team is the largest team in the city and is highly competitive in city and state tournaments.
Rehearsals - all of Roosevelt's performing groups use Schedule E time to rehearse. Each director or choreographer sets their own rehearsal schedule. Students are given a schedule and should communicate the rehearsal nights to their parents.
Sports - Roosevelt has an active Sports Department that uses Schedule E time for practices. Each coach sets their own practice schedule.
