Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design offers the Creative Educator Institute and Summer Courses for Art Students

 

 

Milwaukee Art Museum offers dramatic architecture as well is outstanding art. Santiago Calatrava-designed building in the United States, features a 90-foot high glass-walled reception hall enclosed by the Burke Brise Soleil, a sunscreen that can be raised or lowered creating a unique moving sculpture.

 

The MSO educates and inspires students through a variety of programs including Youth and Teen Concerts and the award-winning, in-depth Arts in Community Education (ACE) program.

 

The Peck School of the Arts is an active participant in Milwaukee’s vital arts community. with more than 300 performances, screenings and exhibitions each year.

 

First Stage Children's Theater's Education Department strives to provide theater arts in education experiences for people of all ages - enhancing curriculum and teaching life skills through stage skills.

African American Children's Theater - - All youth, ages 8-18, are welcome to join in AACT's Youth Leadership Development Program. This program uses theatre to teach and develop leadership, citizenship, and communication skills, while building self-esteem in Milwaukee's youth.

 

Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra - - This is MYSO's 50th year of providing comprehensive training in the finest techniques of orchestral and ensemble musicianship, through an extensive program of rehearsals, performances and enrichment activities, to talented young musicians ages 8-18 in Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin.

 

Milwaukee Youth Art Center of southeastern Wisconsin, gives children the opportunity to express themselves through the arts in a fun, creative, multicultural environment in a setting that offers well-designed, educationally appropriate rehearsal halls, classrooms and other training spaces, as well as a theater resource center, music library, costume shop and administrative offices.

 

Artists Working in Education provides arts learning experiences that help children become inquisitive, creative, flexible, imaginative and confident.
