Community Partnerships At Samuel Clemens Elementary School, we recognize the importance of working with community leaders and organizations to maximize the educational opportunities available for our students. We value the generosity of local organizations and businesses that donate their time and energy to strengthening our students’ support network, enabling our students to expand their education beyond the classroom walls. Thanks to the support of our partners, our students are developing into self-confident, independent leaders capable of bringing about positive change in the Milwaukee community.
Bethel A.M.E. Church
Bethel A.M.E. Church supports the school in many different ways. The congregation provides supplies for students, donates holiday dinners for our families and participates in school events. Reverend Billy Scott of Bethel A.M.E. Church is a member of the school Governance Council.
Service Learning Projects
The Clemens community has worked with Feeding America and Second Harvest during our annual community food drives. We are proud to have provided more than 1,500 food items during the Holiday drive of 2010. We have also partnered with Lowe’s Home Improvement in building a reading garden and in beautifying the school grounds. |
