Welcome! We are pleased to take this opportunity to provide information about Camp Thoreau, a unique and innovative year-round, extended day program for school children ages 3- 14. Since opening in the spring of 1993, Camp Thoreau has received recognition at the local, state, and national level.
Camp Thoreau is designed for the convenience and benefit of the Thoreau Elementary School community by offering year-round extended day program on a daily basis from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. We are also recognized by the Milwaukee County Department of Human services as an authorized day care provider.
