Latest update: March 23, 2007
Title Program funds may be used to support qualified professional development under various Titles. The table below provides very brief guidelines related to various Titles.
Table showing professional development possiblibities and limitations under various Titles

Seek preapproval from your school's Title IA service provider for professional development under Title IA. Contact MPS Office in charge of non-public school Title program coordination (414-475-8122) about requests for professional development under other ESEA Title programs.

Title program participants should be aware of these additional aspects of Milwaukee Title programs for non-public schools:
  1. MPS will no longer prepay expenses related to Title funded professional development.
  2. MPS may not use Title funds to pay student loans or to reimburse students who have made payments on student loans.
  3. MPS may never use Title funds to reimburse a non-public school directly, so payments must be made directly to service providers who are willing to invoice for services after delivery or to individuals who made allowable PD related payments themselves.
  4. No reimbursements may be made unless all required documentation related to the request is submitted before annual deadlines provided by MPS. Documentation should clearly provide information from the provider about PD content and costs as well as information from the individual about how the PD will allow them to promote student achievement in the work they do, and also clear proof of personal payment for the PD requested.
  5. The worksheets provided below may assist in allowing submission of Title program requests that are accompanied by required documentation:
