This web site is designed to provide information and support to Milwaukee Title I schools and parents. The first section provides information related to school development of Educational Plans. New for 2005-2006 Educational Plan Development

Family Involvement Tools: Appendix C from the 2005-2006 MPS Ed Plan Workbook. This resource includes:

  1. Preliminary Family and Community Involvement (F&CI) needs assessment questions for school improvement teams
  2. F&CI Standard area criterion surveys (see also the survey calculator in cell below)
  3. F&CI Standard area document analysis tools
  4. A T-chart to assist in brainstorming for activities and strategies in each Standard area

Family Involvement Tools Survey Microsoft Word version of the MPS Family Involvement Survey (1 page for each standard area)

Family Involvement Tools Survey Calculator: An Excel spreadsheet that is set up for schools to enter survey results and generate numerical scores for each survey question and standard area.

Latest family involvement Title program guidance from the United States Department of Education. This document contains extensive information relevant to the development of parental involvement policies and family compacts. (Word)

PISA Downloads for 04-05 Ed Plan Evaluations

Puts the Parent Involvement Self Assessment (PISA) Based on Standards provided by the National Parent Teachers' Organization into a format that allows numerical analysis to aid in interpretation and evaluation. (Word). While MPS has moved to more comprehensive survey tools, this instrument may be used to gauge progress on 2004-2005 goals that were based on PISA results.

Parent Involvement Self Assessment (PISA) Calculator: Tabulate PISA results in this spreadsheed and have numeric values calculated for Parent Involvement Quality Indicators and Standards. Provides chart and graph results. (Excel) While MPS has moved to more comprehensive survey tools, this instrument may be used to gauge progress on 2004-2005 goals that were based upon PISA results.
