Transition High School is a regular Milwaukee Public high school where a traditional diploma is offered.
We are not an alternative, charter, private, or partnership school.

At Transition we serve students who are or have been:
  • Incarcerated
  • Expelled
  • Chronically truant
  • Close to graduation, but gave up (3-6 credits)
Students cannot be assigned to THS through traditional MPS student services or the court system.
 

THS Learning Community Culture

Our staff serves on the premise: “we suffer from an adult problem, not a youth problem” (the “unhealthy village”).

Through right principles and right values our goal is to make THS a 'safe place to practice the possibilities'.
