R.O.C. - "Community"
Self-Exploration Groups: Skilled staff from community organizations and Transition staff will facilitate groups for students who are interested in learning how to manage their anger, reconsider their use of alcohol or other drugs, or are struggling with personal or social issues which are getting in the way of their learning and personal success.
All-Community Meetings: The THS community will gather for an exceptional experience led by outstanding people from the community at various times during the school year. These powerful sessions will have a social justice/community activism focus that allows our youth to more clearly see our society and how they can change the world for the better.
Community Based Services: The THS learning community integrates supportive services delivered by community agencies and organizations. Subsidized employment, restorative justice, self-reflection/group therapy, rites of passage programs, and exploration of personal empowerment via the arts and hip hop curriculum are some of the services that will be offered.
