Extracurricular Learning Opportunities
At Trowbridge, students have the opportunity to express themselves through a variety of extracurricular activities. By participating in these activities, students receive the well-rounded education they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Joining an extracurricular activity builds self-confidence, increases leadership skills and teaches responsibility.
Camp Trowbridge – We offer before and after school tutoring and day care for students who need additional help with their academics and for parents who work late hours.
- After School Athletics – Students can join basketball, softball, flag football, volleyball and/or cheerleading. Joining a team enables students to stay physically fit and learn the importance of working with others to achieve a common goal.
- Peer Mediation – By joining the Peer Mediation group, students learn to resolve conflicts and improve the school climate.
- Kinder Athletics – This Special Olympics program integrates all levels of kindergarten children, encouraging physical fitness and sportsmanship.
Health Education Program – Interactive field trips enhance health education at all grade levels.
- Theatrical Productions – Students work together to present a multi-age production, incorporating academic excellence.
- Folk Fair – Students may participate in a Folk Fair, featuring cultural awareness performances.
- Earth Day Celebration – During Earth Day, Trowbridge students participate in an environmental cleanup and various planting activities.
- All-city track meets – By participating in track meets, students can increase their heart health and take physical fitness to the next level.
- Summerfest planting – Students help prepare for Milwaukee’s largest music festival by planting flowers on the
grounds.
