“I became a teacher because I knew at a very young age that I enjoyed working with children and being in their presence. I have always enjoyed their spontaneity and the way they look at life, without the complications of an adult point of view. I became a counselor after my family experienced first-hand the importance of the school counselor when I went through a divorce. My children needed someone other than me to confide in and the school counselor was a lifeboat for them during a very confusing and sad time in their lives.”
