COMP Trainings
The Classroom Organization and Management Program is a three day comprehensive, research-based classroom management program,
designed to provide teachers with practical and effective strategies for managing classrooms. Teachers are able to network and share
ideas for fulfilling district initiatives and dealing with changes (ie, larger class sizes and inclusion). The training is for teachers
with all levels of experience and expertise, and is conducted on three separate days over the course of several weeks. The fee for this
training is $45 to contribute toward the cost of the training manual provided to each teacher. This class can be taken for 3 credits through
the University of the Pacific.
COMP scheduling must be carefully considered, as make-up sessions are not available for scheduling conflicts
(e.g. teacher conferences, doctor's appointments, after school activities). To successfully complete the COMP course, participants must be present for the duration of all sessions.

learning program at their school (such as Second Step, Woven Word etc). This session will introduce strategies for extending and generalizing appropriate
social skills to the classroom and school environments, helping students meet PBIS expectations. Participants will also have the opportunity to create materials
to take back and use within their classrooms. Teachers and support staff are welcome; however it is preferable that support staff attend with teachers who are involved
with the curriculum.
