Mission
“The mission of WCLL is to develop our children, who are diverse in cultural and ethnic backgrounds, ability levels and learning styles, into caring individuals and responsible citizens. We provide quality education through a cooperative relationship of home, school and community. It is our goal to empower students to meet the global challenges of today and realize the dreams of tomorrow.”
Dear families and friends,
As principal of the Wisconsin Conservatory of Lifelong Learning (WCLL), I want to personally welcome you to our unique school. WCLL is the first year-round school in Milwaukee to serve students in grades K4 – 12. The school serves students of all ages and we maintain a small, orderly school setting where students develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. By enabling students to understand the connections between knowledge, communication, technology and the world of work, we equip them with the skills needed to accomplish their future endeavors and ultimately, to lead happy, successful lives.
For more than a dozen years, we have worked diligently with students, parents, staff and community partners to develop a curricular program that provides the most well-rounded educational experiences possible for all of our students. Excellence, opportunity, support and encouragement serve as the building blocks of our school philosophy. At WCLL, we want our students to take full advantage of every resource we offer them.
As a part of our community service activities, WCLL students are taught to respect their community, use the resources that surround them and give back to the city of Milwaukee. Through community service, students realize the importance of volunteering time and energy for the benefit of others. Our partners throughout the city support our students by sharing their stories, providing students with new opportunities and lending a helping hand.
Serving students in K4 – grade 12, WCLL encourages our older students to be positive role models for our youngest learners. High school students mentor and tutor elementary students, with both parties benefiting from the interaction. Our older students learn responsibility while our young students gain support and instruction from someone they admire.
WCLL’s setting allows staff members to work with families for long periods of time. Students have the chance to build strong friendships and develop pride in their school. To schedule a tour of WCLL and to see our students and staff in action, please call our school office at (414) 304-6800. I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Sallie Brown, Principal
