"I earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (Grades 1-6) from UW-Milwaukee in 1973 and became a classroom teacher at Ninth Street School in January, 1974. In 1983, I earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in reading, from UW-Milwaukee. In 1995, I received my 317 Reading Specialist license. Spending my entire career working with students and staff within the Milwaukee Public School system, makes me very proud.
My favorite part of teaching is working with all our wonderful students. Children enjoy working with me because they know I’m the Skittle Lady! I really like kids. Students should know that I have raised two great kids, Mary and Andy. They are the joy of my life. Finally, the best thing about WCLL is that we are a K-12 family of learners. Our school is a great place because administration and staff work hard for all students." |
