Connie Bergmann

Language Arts, Social Studies, Reading, High School Athletic Director, My Access! Implementor
Grade 7-8

“In 2006, I received by bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialty in Science/Social Studies from UW-Milwaukee. I began teaching that same year. I will be completing my Masters Degree in Administration from UW-Milwaukee in July 2011.

My favorite part of teaching is having the staff and students always there to make each day special. My students become my family. Seeing them grow up makes teaching so special and at WCLL, I get to see my students transform into young adults. To me, that is a special time in a person’s life. Students enjoy my classroom because when they follow the directions, they get to have fun. They are treated as family in a comfortable environment. My students should know that I was a class clown a long time ago. I love to laugh! My favorite thing about WCLL is seeing my students smile. I think anything can be solved with laughter. Our school is a great place because we care about each other. The staff reaches out to all students, not just their specific classroom students. I see middle school teachers taking time to talk to elementary students and high school students and vice versa. I think WCLL’s K-12 environment allow teachers to mentor a child through the education process and learn so much more about that child.”
