“In 1989, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a specialty in Education from UW-Milwaukee. Later that year, I began teaching. In 1995, I received my master’s degree in Art Education from UW-Milwaukee. I also have completed studies in Adaptive Arts.
My favorite thing about being an art teacher is encouraging all students to find their inner creativity and providing them with the skills to release it. Students enjoy my classroom because everyone experiences some success at some level while further developing who they are. My students should know that I love to work with three-dimensional media and I like the unique differences that we all have to offer – they make us more creative! The best thing about WCLL is that kids can stay here through grade 12. We really get to know our students when they are less transient.” |
