“I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UW-Whitewater in 1992. I continued my studies to receive my master’s degree in Social Work from UW-Milwaukee in 1996. In 1999, I began teaching.
My favorite part of being a social worker is building trusting relationships with students, families and school personnel. I also enjoy linking students and families with school and community resources to improve academic achievement and emotional well-being among students. Students enjoy my office because it is a safe and confidential place to discuss any current academics, social and emotional concerns. My students should know that I am very involved with the community of Milwaukee and spend much of my time doing community service. The best thing about WCLL is seeing families effectively participating in their child’s education.” |
