A big congratulations goes out to the Wedgewood Park Forensics Team. The team was recognized by the Milwaukee School Board on Thursday, May 26th for their first place finish, for medium size schools, at the State Forensic Meet. This is Wedgewood Parks 4th year of having a forensics team, and every year the team has doubled in size. Forensics is a great way to improve public speaking and writing skills. Under the guidance of one of our coaches, a student prepares a piece from the possible 18 individual and group categories. The Forensics Team is made up of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who participate in meets around the area. At a meet, the student’s presentation is evaluated by trained judges based on a set of criteria designed for each category. |
