At Westside Academy we are committed to providing our children with every opportunity to explore, understand, and use technology to enhance and enrich their learning. We pride ourselves on having state-of-the-art equipment, including over 150 computers available for student use. In addition, we have many peripherals such as color laser printers, digital cameras, scanners, and digital projectors. We broadcast Westside daily announcements using our brand new video lab. Each classroom is provided with a television to watch the students' performances.

Children at Westside Academy are learning how to use the Internet to research educational topics. They are able to e-mail family, friends, and instructors, and use multimedia software to create presentations.

Westside Academy II focuses on technology in many unique and exciting ways. All fourth through eighth graders have access to the current applications and the internet. The older students have opportunities to work in an IT environment, and perform for our morning announcements in a small TV studio. Students are getting creative with digital pictures and movies, and are learning real-life skills that they can use in high school or when they look for employment. We are proud to say that our students are computer literate and are prepared to use computers and technology in the real world.
