Technology
Our students receive weekly instruction and experiences on state-of-the-art personal computers, both in their classrooms and in our computer labs, Each of our two (2) computer assisted instruction CAI) labs is equipped with thirty (30) Dell PC's. The file server is loaded with CCC software programs that guide individualized instruction. Children have the option of working on lessons in reading, language, math or science, programmed to strengthen and improve their achievement levels. They also have access to the world on the internet.

Our two CAI. computer labs each have 30 Dell Pentium III PC's, running Integrated Learning System C.C.C. software, and also have internet access. Each classroom has one to eigth computers. We have approximately 200 PCs that have access to the school wide LAN and the world-wide internet from every classroom and office in the building. Many staff members use school MPS PCs & personal laptops for instruction and school records. . Children  experiment with word processing, creative writing, explore our school-wide network and the internet, beyond their individualized CCC lessons in reading, math and language arts. We recently upgraded our labs with sixty (60) new Dell Pentium III PC computers.

The older sixty (60) lab Pentium II Dell PC's were distributed to classrooms. With this addition, we have nearly 200 computers (one for every three students). We also purchased several more Compaq laptop computers, digital cameras, a smart board, projectors and scanners.

Our school wasidentify as an MPS Replicable School, because of our exemplary technology status. Visitors and guests are always welcome to see the use of technology in our two CAI labs and in classrooms. When you visit, ask for an orientation tour by one of our technology "vanguard teachers." Both CAI labs were recently painted and lab #2 was carpeted. The labs are a clean and bright place of learning on computers.
